Job Summary: As an Alternative School Teacher, you will be responsible for providing educational instruction and support to students who require an alternative approach to traditional schooling. Your role involves creating a safe and supportive learning environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You will develop and implement tailored curriculum plans, address individual learning needs, and collaborate with school administration, colleagues, parents, and community resources to ensure the holistic development of each student.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  2. Prior experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with behavioral, emotional, or academic challenges (Preferred).
  3. Strong understanding of different learning styles, educational theories, and instructional strategies.
  4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to establish rapport with students, build trusting relationships, and provide emotional support.
  6. Flexibility, patience, and resilience in managing challenging behaviors and situations.
  7. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to special education and alternative education programs.
  8. Proficiency in using educational technology, software, and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning.
  9. Willingness to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community partners to support student success.
  10. Dedication to continuous professional growth and development.
